Pro Dance offers classical ballet education in West Vancouver, grounded in the Vaganova method and guided by professional experience. We value clear instruction, musicality and individual progress, helping students develop their technique and enjoy the art of dance.

“Dancing is my gift and my life… God gave me this gift to bring delight to others. I am haunted by the need to dance. It is the purest expression of every emotion, earthly and spiritual. It is happiness.”

Anna Pavlova (Russian Ballet Dancer – 1881-1931)

Our Story

Founded by Ciprian Stanulescu on 1 January 2016, Pro Dance was created to offer thoughtful ballet education and help dancers grow in technique, artistry and confidence. Our teaching brings professional experience together with an appreciation for each student’s progress. Our teaching is grounded in the Russian Vaganova method of classical ballet, with an emphasis on coordinated movement, musicality and artistic expression. We explain technique clearly and guide students through progressive learning appropriate to their level.

“If you don’t feel challenged, it’s because you’re not doing enough. Ballet should never feel comfortable. Comfortable is lazy! If you’re comfortable when you dance, you’re not pushing yourself hard enough. 100 % is not enough. You have to give 200%. One tendu takes years of hard work and will never be perfect. Everything in ballet is a challenge.”
